Yeah, the Never Too Far performance was indeed the climax moment of the whole movie. The film edit is so much more emotional and restrained, I'm glad she released it as a b-side to the single.
But let's be honest here: The movie IS trash, but it's still very enjoyable trash in my eyes and I still watch the movie now and then.
She's sublime in Tennessee too. Right To Dream makes an fantastic soundtrack for it. 
but I actually enjoyed it. It was a very touching story. 
I found some of it interesting tbh...
