John Mayer proceeds to replace himself on top once again. With the 2-1 rise of "If I Ever Get Around To Living," King Mayer claims his 4th #1 from "Born And Raised" and his 5th #1 overall in 2012 tying Rihanna and Kelly Clarkson as the artists with the most #1s this year.
The song is his 12th #1, getting farther away from Taylor Swift who is right on his hell as the 4th artist with the most #1s. Mayer is in 3rd place following Rihanna with 20 and Gaga with 15. The song has been in the chart since the end of May when it made its debut at #2, finally hitting the top spot today.
Taylor jumps 7-2 with WANEGBT as the "Greatest Gainer" song of the day. Mariah Carey earns her 3rd Top 5 and first with a non-holiday single.

John Mayer spends another day adding some fun facts to his chart life. "If I Ever Get Around To Living" becomes his longest #1 from "Born And Raised" passing the 5 days that "Shadow Days" had on top earlier this year. With 6 days on top the song also matches "Edge Of Desire: and "Assassin" as his longest-running #1 on my daily chart. "Assassin" is credited as having 13 days on top but 7 of those were on the now-extinct weekly chart.
The song is also the longest-running since "Assassin" which ended up as being the #2 song of 2010. The song is also his longest-consecutive running #1 with 6 days on top consecutively. "Edge Of Desire" also had an uninterrupted 6 day run on top.
Fun. scores their 2nd top 10 after the 9 days "We Are Young" spent on top.
