The crazy thing is that Trump is hardly a true populist. He just gives the illusion of being one to his politically-ignorant followers. His policy plans where he has presented them wouldn't even help them one iota. He doesn't even really have a cohesive political doctrine, but he's mostly a nationalist with a thinly-veiled white identity politics campaign.

Off topic but are you guys following the Philippines and USA situation ?

President of the Philippines has announced in China that he will be leaving US for china (Military and economically) .this is a problem for Obama and certainly a dent on his legacy because it will weaken the USA position in the south sea.

But then again the guy is crazy so maybe he's not serious.

This will be a bigger dent for the president of the Philippines legacy especially after the US started so many education and jobs initiatives when Obama visited. The Filipino president is a mess

Uhh how so? The President of the Phillippines is an idiot acting irrationally. Obama can't be blamed for that. Obama was right to note that there are major human rights violations taking place in the Phillippines right now.
