They got the first album together really quickly, after Bom Bom Bom came out in the end of April he started working on the album and it was out by June, assuming he's been working on the songs already I would guess late June maybe early July

Kris will forever be a douchebag for this. I highly doubt EXO's contracts were changed in a year or so, so if he honestly had a problem he should have left when first felt like he was being treated unfairly.
And even in the statement he said he doesn't get enough control of his own career. That just SCREAMS "I'm not allowed to have the solo activities I want so I don't want to be here."
Kris wants popularity, but he doesn't want to be an idol. He's not a dancer, he's not a singer, he's not a rapper, so honestly do you think he enjoys performing all the time? Most likely not. Now that he has popularity, he wants to GTFO and do his own thing. And if his arguement is that they weren't getting paid enough, well what the hell does he expect? Most artists (even in the West) don't get paid much until they start TOURING, so for this asshole to leave right before they start touring and blame it on his low income and lack of career control is just sneaky and manipulative.
It doesn't make sense to me. He should be smart enough to know EXO will get paid more once they start touring. Does it not ring any bells in your head that he left RIGHT before they started touring?
I'm so sad right now, JUST as I was starting to like Kris he goes and does this. But why now though? Why when they were just starting to establish themselves?

these dramas are so much more messy now with social media being as prevalent as it is. Back when the TVXQ thing happened, you weren't hearing half of these details. It's so different now.
