Well, most of this month is in Europe and this week thru Sunday is pretty "extensive."

I love it, I'm not complaining, but eventually people cant just keep screaming PROMO in every country for every single. She won't be able to do this next year, and that's when charts will really become interesting for her.

The music should sell itself when people hear it, a la radio, so iTunes better start improving as this week progresses.

Shes been promoting nonstop since February. She has that end perfectly under control. Its the timing of it all that just seems so awkward.
Euro promo right now is def worthwhile since they didnt buy into You and I (as expected tbh,) but I wish she released the video so that could boost the US while she was gone. Then she couldve returned when video hype was fading, and keep it going with the Thanksgiving special etc.

Same thing as TEOG. She left too early and the song suffered.

You have to scream promo especially to an album as left field as Born This Way.

True. Except for Scheiße...which IMO is pretty serviceable to radio and is catchy and upbeat enough to be a pretty big hit on its own. HML and Americano and anything else though probably will need promo since they are not mainstream at all.

And Alejandro and Telephone didn't need much promo because they are radio-friendly pop songs. Plus Gaga was at her peak success-wise with The Fame Monster. Gaga definitely needs promo this era; this isn't necessarily bad. She's making the music she wants to and it's difficult to market this album when it is so not mainstream and not generic and not really radio-friendly. It's an amazing album, but for the most part the kinds of songs that are hitting it big today are generic club anthems or ****** Dr.Luke tunes. Gaga's songs are neither of those things, and especially with Born This Way. She can still be very successful with promo though. Let's not forget the fact that she is still the biggest popstar in the world.

Telephone had 2 of the biggest stars in the US on one song & it only peaked at 3.
No Promo was the reason it didn't peak higher (+ the fact it was so popular around its release)

Alejandro was a 'made for summer song' and only went Top 5.
It did get promo though. American Idol + A Video Snippet Premiere on CNN.

If Gaga wants a 'Smash', shes going to need to do some Promo.

The video was controversial as **** & got it tons of coverage. Theres a reason its one of her most watched videos.

The promo from this album era is incredible, unprecedented really in this day of the music industry.

I applaud her for her hard work, I'll never blame a lack of effort for chart issues that's for sure.
