No he isn't. Not the people who aren't active, engaged Repblicans. He's polling at 47% to Clinton's 39% with white men, the strongest segment of the GOP electorate, a demographic that Romney won with 62% of the vote.

Trump could actually be a disaster and fail to unite anything similar to the GOP base.

Meanwhile, Clinton has the Obama coalition behind her, will have all of Sanders' support come November, and will have a sitting President campaigning for her. This was over before it even started.

Clinton currently has a 391 pledged delegate lead, according to CNN's count, nearly four times the lead Obama had when he clinched in 08.

With D.C., she'll be over 400 pledged delegates.

A good portion of these younger voters aren't even democrats. Will they vote for Trump? No, but they could sit it out if they feel uninspired to head to the polls. Either way, it wouldn't be wise of Hillary OR democrats to just ignore them and assume they'll come on board. You have to offer concessions about why these new voters should come out and vote for the democratic nominee in the fall. Right now they don't have very much incentive for doing that. They like Obama but don't trust Hillary enough to fully commit themselves to her. And you can't keep relying on voting against Trump to bring out voters, when that only works for this year. There needs to be a long term plan for the democratic party of they're going to continue to lose support from young voters, which they cannot afford.

Nobody said she wasn't going to campaign with them or make concessions. Their candidate will endorse, they will participate, and they will vote.

There is a lot of media chatter about how Trump has alienated Muslims and Mexican voters, and rightly so. I would like to point out that an equal if not greater problem for his campaign is that he is REALLY unpopular with women voters.

Women are already the biggest voting demographic in the US Presidential Elections. Black, White, Asian/Pacific Islanders and Hispanic demographics, all of these US Census Bureau racial categorisations show this same trend of more women than men voting in the US Presidential Elections this century.

I expect women to turn out to vote in even higher rates in 2016 because the prospect of electing a first woman President is on the cards. Plus Trump is really unpopular with women. He has a 70% unfavourability rating with women! And it is getting worse the longer his campaign has gone on.
