That'd be boring. She needs to play someone "real" for lack of a better word - think her role of Etta James in Cadillac Records, but without singing. Put her in a role where she's vulnerable or extremely relatable and there's a real chance she'd be able to engage people and allow them to see past the singer, and more, the actress.
And yes, the Fighting Temptations Soundtrack was so good. I loved it.
I loved that film.
