Everyone was obsessed with HSM1 and playing it out daily, then they announced HSM2 would premiere August right around back-to-school and the momentum was everything.
The way Disney kept playing What Time Is It? during every commercial break, and a bitch would go on DisneyChannel.com to hear other new songs they premiered everyday.
Oh and let's not forget Vanessa's NUDE scandal.
The songs were also the best in HSM2. HSM3 was such a disappointment, and everyone was growing up by then lol.
"Fabulous", "All for One", "Work This Out", and "Bet On It" were pure trash.
I like HSM1 better, What I've Been Looking For is amazing. As a rule, Ashley>>>>****nessa
TRUE. "Get'cha Head in the Game" was the only bad song in the first movie, and it at least had to do with the plot (rather than giving Chad & Ryan a random number about baseball).
The premiere of High School Musical 2 was seen by a total of over 17.2 million viewers in the United States which is almost 10 million more than its predecessor, making it the highest-rated Disney Channel Movie of all time as well as the highest-rated basic cable telecast at the time.
They should lowkey re-premiere HSM on Disney as if it was a new movie and see if it explodes with the new generation. It deserves to live on and be #1 forever!
