No, we shouldn't be worried about MTN... AT ALL! It'll be fine. The video will probably be released in 3 weeks (just a guess). By then, it's AI could be at 20+m. I think waiting for the video might be smart in this case. Let the Euro promo/press drift over just a tad to get a few more spins/downloads. The ONLY thing we should be worried about is keeping MTN inside the top 600 & a descent, promising, POSITIVE radio update.

EMAs had very little exposure anyway. It wasn't a huge promotional appearance, because MTV shows rarely are. It was a chance to showcase herself for those who are watching. Releasing the video now would be far too early. The song isn't nearly ready to take off in the US; it still has less than 10M AI, and would never be able to climb in time for chart and sales peaks to match.

My local radio station does a countdown everynight and they had to take MTN off because it won 4 nights in a row. They said now it goes into rotation? Idk how that works but it's good.

EMAs get about 30m viewers, so it's hardly "little" exposure.

And releasing the video would be great considering the song is flopping on iTunes and could use a boost .

There's actually still time to announce something. Last year they added Taylor, Miley, and Kid Rock to the lineup on Nov 11. And Alan Carr can be pre-taped. I don't see why she wouldn't go. I don't think they're against the show, they made a post on her site.

Y'all really need to chill with all this drama over MTN. The sales will pick up once the video comes out and radios continue to add it and play it more. Let's keep in mind that the official radio adds date is 11/15, so that's when it will really start to take off. I'd rather MTN slowly climb the charts instead of it shooting to the top 5 next week and then being over by the start of December. Let's all just calm down and enjoy the MTN era!
