Loud is great and all but it will never be her best for me.
I feel the exact same way. It's an awesome collection of songs, but to me it's not really an "album", it's a bunch of cool songs thrown together. That's why it doesn't compare to Rated R or GGGB. One could argue "it shows all the different facets to Rihanna's personality!" but there are ways to do that without being so polarising. I still laugh at how Loud's track listing goes 'Fading', 'Only Girl', 'California King Bed', 'Man Down', 'Raining Men'. They're all good songs but so completely different to each other, they don't work well together at all.

I've always said this, it just doesn't work as a whole.

TTT is no better then. WAWL after BC? that's way worse polarity than Fading-OG-CKB-MD-RM.

WAWL after BC is terrible. It completely disrupts the flow of the album, IMO. But still, that's just one polarising shift, it isn't as bad as going from a 'Pop&B' ballad to euro-pop club smash to country ballad to electro-reggae ballad to urban jam.
TTT is more cohesive than Loud, definitely. As bad as some of the arrangement of the tracks are, I feel if it were rearranged a bit the album could flow nicely. The sounds are there and they all fit together (somewhat) but just the way they are ordered really needs fixing.
True but at least TTT has a concept and sound that follows through out the album unlike Loud.
Actually I find more concept about Loud than in TTT which is mashed up from 2 dance tracks (WFL, WHYB), 4 true urban tracks (Cockiness, BC, RL, WnL), 4 ballads (Farewell, DOL, FIL, WAWL) and 4 Pop/Rhytmic tracks (YdO, RMO, DYT, TTT). They are all messy mixed all over the tracklist.
Loud's album structure and themes actually make more sense to me no matter how weird it may sound.

I do think the tracklist could be rearranged, of course there are some different genres and sounds on TTT (like every album) but it still feels like an album since most of the songs flow well together.
Loud changes through out the whole tracklist, I can't take it sometimes. It already starts on the first 2 tracks where it goes from S&M to WMN and then comes Cheers, Fading, OG, CKB, etc. all different from each other.
