CONFIDENT

Confident - A great opening track and great single. TBH, shoulda been the lead. No tacky breakdown, just a great song. Loved it instantly and still one of my faves. V underrated. (5/5)
Cool For the Summer - Ugh. I love the vocal melody with the pre-chorus but why the tacky breakdown. #StopBreakdowns2k15 they're redundant and just ruin every song attached to them. The acoustic version at Live Lounge > (4/5)
Old Ways - the first verse slays and so does the chorus. the breakdown is (as always) unneeded, but at least its shorter than the other songs Such a great sing along song. The bridge is fabulous too. Will probably slay me more as time goes on. (4/5)
For You - the first verse is nice. The "beat" comes in and then the chorus starts and it turns too production-based and the melody becomes secondary, which it never should. the melody is what makes real music and should always be prioritized. soz. (3/5)
Stone Cold - Considering Demi's history of ballads all having great vocal melodies (Lightweight, Shouldn't Come Back, For The Love of a Daughter, Don't Forget, etc etc), this is so disappointing. The melody just doesn't engage me at all. It's a good song when the chorus gets going but it's quite boring and tedious to get to that part. (3/5)
Kingdom Come - TBH really unexpected. Love the Black Widow elements. Iggy's rap is... well Iggy but it's tolerable. I'ma need a solo edit before this song grows old real fast tho. A great song. (4/5)
Waitin' For You - Better than I expected but still really monotone. Not enough of a vocal melody to please me. Siri is annoying af and just ruins the track. Delete it fat literally. Otherwise it's alright but probably one of the worst for me. (3/5)
Wildfire - The definition of overrated. I adore Stargate and stan for 90% of their productions, but this is just too.. lackluster? It's a good song but it just lacks any real power. Sounds like something I would listen to and not even realise that I was listening to the next song 5 minutes later. The bridge is amazing though. I hope it'll grow on me. (3/5)
Lionheart - this is what Wildfire should have been like. A great vocal melody. A great production that doesn't attempt to overshadow the melody. There is one note in the chorus that I don't like and it should be different, but who's got time to be nitpicky. Other than that it's absolutely flawless and one of the best songs on the album! (5/5)
Yes - the verse starts off good but something missing. the chorus slays. the 2nd verse is the worst part of the song imo. the bridge and final chorus are amazing. I love that it slows down to transition into Father. (4/5)
Father - beautiful. stunning. the best song on the standard edition. it's so haunting and gives me chills. I don't know how else to describe it. Just perfect. It's what Stone Cold aspires to be. that final chorus jesus slay me fat. (5/5)

Stars - I don't know where to start. DEMI is my favorite album of the last 3 years if I'm 100% honest and I love the chorus because it serves DEMI-esque. The bridge and the final chorus are so wonderful as well. But that verse... the heavy IDK what it even is? A breakdown? a beat? Too non-melodic for me. Delete it fat. One final comment on it; WYD Demi sis with the last line. there shoulda been a pause and then a TONIIIIIGHT. Such an anti-climatic ending. Shame coz overall its amazing. Giving it a 5 because overall I've been really harsh on the album and I would give it a 4.5 but I only give whole numbers. (5/5)

Mr Hughes - my favorite song. I love the Amy Winehouse and Meghan Trainor influences (note: Meghan did NOT write it). Just perfect. sassy. fun. melodic. perfect. I also love that she gets to show off a vocal run at the end (5/5)

Overall my second favorite Demi album (after DEMI). DEMI was pure pop perfection so I knew I wouldn't love it more, but I'm really happy with it. The breakdowns destroyed a lot of songs for me, but I'ma try to get over it. I would say it's probably my 2nd favorite album so far this year, after Title (now you see why I stan Mr Hughes) as I overrated Emotion at first and don't use it now. So yeah great album. A.

Guys, i have a question. Month and a half ago, while walking down the mall, i heard this EDM remix of Cool For The Summer and i really liked. When i came back at home, i searched for it, i listened to every possible Cool For The Summer remix, but none of them was the one i heard in the mall. Now, while listening to Confident which is a great album, i realized that that one remix is the Jump Smokers Remix. But, as far as i know, this remix wasn't released until now, along with the album. I'm pretty much sure that is the remix. Does anyone have any logical explanation for this or i've just heard another remix?
