I watched the video again and it gets better every time (it grows on you...like her music). Sure, it's not a big budget production like Ride, National Anthem, Born to Die, Tropico etc but it's still mesmerizing and she's not taking herself seriously for the first time!

I think Interscope is done with funding short films because Lana stopped promoting her projects years ago so they said **** that they probably went bankrupt with Tropico

She was satisfied with Ultraviolence at first, but I recall her having an interview deep into the era expressing how she felt that Ultraviolence didn't come out the way she wanted it to? It's totally understandable though since as we got deeper into the era she became progressively happier and she probably felt Ultraviolence to be really distant.

They prob said "Lana we need some singles on this new record" and she delivered some commercial tunes that still stay true to her.
