As evidenced by the song always being behind her big sis throughout voting, though it did come frighteningly close on the last day. A flute section in the bridge does stop the song from being completely generic though, so there's that I guess. The song also has a remix featuring the Queen of Rap, I've never listened to it though. Fun fact: Lana is the only artist in the rate that hasn't worked with the white Milli Vanilli. #justice4BrooklynBaby. The song is not excellent and had this rate been six months earlier it would've served a top 20 tea. A definite example of the singles effect, or perhaps the video effect? The video is great to be fair, TInashe looks hot and somehow she manages to make a shipyard seem like the place to be.

The song was Tinashe's big break, giving her her first (and so far, only) top 40 hit. Surprisingly, the song is also really acclaimed too, check the end of year lists. Who knew? I'm a little disappointed this win. I mean, it's a great song, but Tinashe has far more interesting songs with much more depth than this. Plus considering "Brooklyn Baby" was leading for so long, I was hoping that would win. But thinking about it, no one gave this their 11, so no one wins (except TInashe)! We can all be disappointed together.

IconicFlop called it "Hit & Miss" but still gave it a 7 anyway. Drowned_World gave the song some lashings: " Oh gosh, that production sounds so outdated and even somewhat irritating, too." Drag it. Artemisia isn't feeling it either: " overrated. I don’t find it very catchy and the flute is such a bizarre addition." Subomie "doesn't get the hype." How on Earth did this song almost win with all these mediocre comments? The only positive comment we have is from conatus who recycles his comment from Shades of Cool, saying: "YAAAAAAAS BITCH!" Wow, what a mysogynist.

genetic fail puts a whole new spin on the song: "Any song about double penetration automatically gets a 8+" conseeded thinks "it's just so good. Fun and the Q verse adds a bit of grit to the song." Artemisia called it a "flawless sleek bop." adding "Schoolboy’s messy verse ain’t enough to keep this from a 10." Subomie spilled some tea: "Just a bop, BUT its not really my favorite thing she can do." Too bad ATRL doesn't agree! K$Ellie said: "I liked 2 On when I first heard it but I pay much attention until months later when the album was released. This is my favorite debut album ever" Same, I always liked it but I never played it much until the album came out. downbywednesday was not here for Madame Q: "Schoolboy’s verse might be one of my least favorite guest verses of all time." We have another dissenter in Drowned_World: "I like the catchy chorus and the beat as well as the bridge. I'm not a fan of the feature, though, and the constant "hey" sample during the chorus kinda gets on my nerves." Also, conatus posted some tacky oversized twerking gif that I can't be bothered.to copy and paste!
