Endless Love is a perfect soap opera tbh. The melodrama is just too much. That song induces the feels.

Girl nope. All the guys and girls in my twitter and Facebook were watching ABS shows. Let's not. That's why ABS made those accussations because AGB were pulling numbers from outta nowhere. That's the reason Kantar or TNS became more credible because the ratings weren't that badly skewed in favor of GMA but I do agree they were winning NCR because of their flop taste meanwhile ABS is deservingly number one nationwide thanks to their TFC-subscribed OFWs promoting ABS to their families hence the Kapamilya station tagline. They knew how to build their empire.
I have no problem with GMA 7 slaying though. I just can't really believe they have to be competitive when their ass is against the wall. They should've started with this when ABS is snatching everyone with their quality shows and actors since 2008.

This is giving me PS4/XB1 war all over again. PS4 getting all the sales, but we all know this sale is their last life line.
Seems an accurate comparison.

It's been more than a decade, and I only watched it the first time they aired it, and I still know the story. The impact. Come to think of it, it might be my favorite Asianovela (not that I have watched many) aside from Meteor Garden (for nostalgic reasons).

Why AGB is still being used by local advertisers and networks? The 2007 expose didnt tarnish their reputation? Try to connect the dots.
I am not defending GMA coz I actually despise what they are doin with their shows and artists. Ever since Wilma Galvante left, they sabotaged their station na. BUT LETS NOT DISCOUNT THE FACT THAT THEY HAVE MORE HIGH RATING SHOWS ASIDE FROM MARIMAR and EAT BULAGA. I can't put on a list of their hit shows coz its too many during their domination.
and about AlDub, Im just happy that they are TAPE INC.'s products, not GMA.
and lets not try to blame the network alone on the floppage of Clau, Xtian or Willie, it takes two to tango ika nga.
AlDub is a phenomenal hit, an accidental hit. A huge feat that manufactured loveteams from ABS wont ever get. If AlDub transfers to ABS soon, then they will just end up like JaDine. Abs signed up JaDine so they can downplay the KathNiel and JaDine rivalry. Isang taon binuro ang JaDine since they signed up, only Wansapqnataym episode and demoted to a movie where they shared equal billing with lessor artists (Julia Barreto and Inigo)

Well cause we have Windows 10 to worry about for now... can't put all eggs in one basket when we have tooooo many successful projects to focus on and manage.
We'll get back to XB1 soon.. after Hololens is released.

Facebook and Twitter during 2007? Fb and twitter were not that popular that time pa. Friendster is the correct answer. But still, social media is one factor only on a show's success.
And girl, no, just no. TNS or KANTAR didnt even snatched AGB's weave. Even ABS rn still checks AGB ratings. Coz NCR is really a huge matket for advertisers. A lot of advertisers are still subscribed to AGB. There might be a case against AGB but TNS and Kantar did not get the revognition or support of advertisers the same way AGB has until now. I dunno which universe TNS or Kantar reigns over AGB. Not trying to piss you off, but AGB >>>>>> Kantar. TFC is ahead of PinoyTv for sure. But GMA did give ABS a headache when GMA started to compete with them talaga. Why would ABS try to snatch GMA artists if they really think that GMA is irrelevant?
And again, Im not supporting GMA nowadays coz they make messy decisions tbh. Im just answering the 2007 Black propaganda created by ABS to taint GMA's slayage during that time.

Honestly ayoko ng network monopoly kaya dapat magsipag na sana GMA7 with AlDub rising. Tama na ang ka-cheapan pls. Talks make GMA news TV into a sports station like the now defunct Studio 2. Di ko napapanood any shakeys vleague kasi walang signal dito and we drop all cable providers since 2007.

You're right. They can't even support HiDef shows. They tried it with Aljur's flop series.
Even TV5 has great display qualities.
I mean Queen Eula Cabalero on Alexandra was amazing
Honestly talaga, Toni's Enchanted Garden series was the one I really watched, because Bebe's character as Michiko was amazing.

Another fact that GMA did made an impact on primetime Tv during the '00s:
ABS bought the re-airing rights of Stairway To Heaven. They have it now on their future line-up. Thats a straight slap to their faces coz during STH's reign on GMA, they tag STH as a flop. But now, they bought its TV rights. What the hell?
ABS aired this year the Korean remake of FATED TO LOVE YOU. FTLY was aired on GMA first. Why would ABS, the top network that you are saying awhile ago would choose FTLY remake, a show that is known to be part of GMA's slaying foreign soaps? Nagkaubusan na ba ng korean dramas at no choice na sila but to get shows that identified by people as GMA's gems?

GMA's news and current affairs dominates noon pa. Kaya nga Karen Davila was snatched diba? Bernadette Sembrano says hello to.
Diary ng Panget was a risky move by Viva. They landed promo slots to the three networks. Tv5, Gma and ABS. Masmadami lang exposure ng promo sa GMA tht time.
JaDine guested on Marian, The Ryzza show, EB, KMJS, SAS, etc.
