Not true, they are friends. People assume that because Adele said this to Rolling Stones:

I giggled at first glance of this photo cuz off Katy! Then once I posted it, I looked more carefully.. there are photos on the make-up mirror thing.. one close to the bottom is of JTT.... I GAVE HER THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back in July!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's the same one she tweeted a photo of in late July, along with the pogs I gave her)
