I see your point. But it's very narrow minded to think that all religious people are spreading hate just because some verse in the bible said no man should lay with another man. Not to mention the other things in the bible.
I am not even that religious anymore but a lot of the posts in that thread were not even informative it was just flaming a belief system. There are plenty of religious people who accept gays and there are gay churches.
Not all religious folks blindly follow their religion.
