Nicki desperately tried to be Gaga. She worked with Gaga's producer, choreographer + creative director and dressed like a Party City version of her.
True.

US album sales: @JColeNC, 2014 Forest Hills Drive 7,164 (1,011,000 total).
Released a week apart and still getting slashed by Cole.
They'll use the excuse of him being a male rapper as if it's 1995 and people are forced to go to the stores and get the album.
not that they can't order it online, itunes exist as well as streaming.
not that she's done 7x more promo and release 3x the singles.
My dog ate my homework being better excuse than some I've read.
Vin, what are your thoughts on GODmoon? I'm a bit curious since you liked 'Boys'.
"Honeymoon" was a reverse Warholian experience when compared to "Ultraviolence." On "Ultraviolence," Lana Del Rey had more varied vocals, but all the productions were plodding, cluttered, sluggish, and wholly uninteresting. On "Honeymoon," the productions were spectacular, but Lana Del Rey's vocals were bordering dangerously close to one-dimensional, killing the potential of these records with striking instrumentals. That's why "Born To Die" is Lana Del Rey's best album, because it had both parts: great productions and varied vocals. On "Honeymoon," I only responded to "Music To Watch Boys To," "24," and "Salvatore." Honourable mention to "God Knows I Tried." "Art Deco" was monotonous, but the electro synths at the end of "Art Deco" gave me an instant massive erection. It was such an unexpected, interesting surprise to hear that change up in her music, since she's never experimented with the sounds of eighties electro pop synths. Lana Del Rey should definitely explore mixing her baroque style with pop synths. The culture clash could create chemistry extraordinaire.
