The mess when her first three albums are distinct genres from what is traditionally considered EDM tho.

Like seriously, you can't pretend ARTPOP is exactly like BTW or any previous album, or that BTW is exactly like the previous two, etc. She does pretty clearly change it up with her albums even is some tracks are similar to old stuff. Say what you will about whether a specific release is generic or trashy - I'm not here to argue that. But to say she's just done generic EDM the whole time is rather inaccurate.
