All they had to do was use uncle as a promo single alongside walking on g' air and remind Katy her foolish trying hard not be sexy when she was double d's and a flawless face act was silly and to show her big balloons like we all wanted to see.

Literally how many times does this need to be said? Birthday's release and radio ****ed up TIHWD, that is all. The song did good in sales and in streaming for a fifth single released in 2014. It's impossible to take the TIHWD bandwagon hatred seriously when most of its haters are the same people having meltdowns like the one on the other page about her being "over" and playing this faux Taylor stan "Katy is done" shtick. It's not edgy.

I personally dislike it, because it's a stupid song, not that it underperformed as a single. It's a cute little song little kids would jam to at a slumber party, but its lyrics are tragic. It's just a dumb song, and we already had that fun dumb single with LFN (although LFN is just better). That's all. At least it gave us one of her best videos!
I just hope she never releases anything like that again

Holy **** that Uncle performance was ****ing flawless I'd totally forgotten

She really is blessed with an incredible voice. Her range is fairly decent but nothing special. But she has so much power behind her belts. Way more than Taylor, Ari, any of the teen pop stars really. She just pushes them out with so much power, like Demi/Kelly/Pink. What she lacks is the control they have. Shame, really. But she also has a sensitivity in her softer palate they tend to lack.
