It doesn't sound even remotely "80s". It is mid to late 90s dance trash. It's dire.

For me, judging by the snippet, it fits in with songs like "Wanna Dance With Somebody" which was released in the late 80s.

But to be fair, it's also definitely eurodance pop. Probably more so.

Why on earth would she waste the best songs on the album on a promo single slot? I don't think you know what Generic means, you disliking a song doesn't make it generic.

mte now i have some serious doubts if atrl knows what generic means. they seem to be throwing that word around so loosely.
