Its peer to peer so it depends on your connection and the other players. I've had great games and unplayable games.

If you guys want all the characters really fast, just go to smash mode and set the computer to one stock life and then just keep jumping off the cliff and every 10 matches gets you a new character. Got em all so fast

I'm just doing it on level 6 to get everybody's trophy. I'm only on like Ganondorf, though.

I tried playing once on the highest difficulty and couldn't beat Master Core.

The highest I have beaten Classic on so far was 7.5 with Robin. The Master Core fight is insane but that's just because we don't really know how to dodge things yet. I have the worst time with the five swords phase so far.
