I agree, it does look boring, but her hair is pulled back and she wears minimal makeup to show the stress that she's going through, like with Killian dying 3848948 times and going to the Underworld and now her own death. Based on BTS pictures, it looks like she's sticking with the ponytail for the next few episodes.
The premiere was okay at first watch, but I like it more after watching it a second time. I really think they needed to do a two-hour episode or something for the premiere because a lot happened, and they could've done a lot more with it if they were given more time. I actually don't have any complaints about the premiere! I'll bet Lana wanted the feather for the end of that scene. She has a feather tattoo and a story behind a feather, for those of you who don't know. I think it has to do with her starting anew, which is EXACTLY what Regina decided then!
Adam and Eddy said that "they are Regina," meaning that they put their own stories into Regina's story. I like that. I think that Regina became more relatable than Emma as the seasons went on--does anyone else think that? Anyone can relate to having their walls up, but not too many people can relate to dealing with their imminent death. No one could relate to being "evil," but now, people can relate to starting over and battling their inner darkness. I love Regina!!! She looks amazing, especially as the Evil Queen.
Also, Sam Witwer is hot. He's not hot at all as Hyde, and I was honestly disturbed when people said that Hyde was hot, but Sam Witwer is hot when he's not in costume and not deranged or whatever. Just look at him!
