The fact that she's only giving us one new song might just mean that she wants to gain some momentum for a later release (maybe the end of the year?). Her residency ends in July/August, no? Maybe she'll record on the road and put out something for the holiday
Maybe early next year... single sometime in the fall? I feel like shes gonna start doing promotion again.
She's got a movie with Brett Ratner in the making, too, so I don't think she'll release another entire album this year. But I suppose the next steps depend not only on her but on the success of "Infinity", the new compilation, and the show. So I can't think really further than the "Infinity" era tbh. I can't believe we're getting a new single on Monday, I am so excited
Mariah apparently shot the video in LA yesterday, the 23rd:
Diva songstress Mariah Carey is filming the video for her new single “Infinity” today in Los Angeles with director Brett Ratner. Hotel mogul Steve Wynn hired Brett for his eye-popping rooftop commercials to open Wynn and Encore in Las Vegas.
“Expect to see Mariah in some dangerous moves and unique positions during the shoot,” I was told.
“Infinity” will be on her new No. 1 hits album, and she’ll include it in her new show at the Colosseum in Caesars Palace.
Mariah arrives on the Strip on Monday evening for a welcome ceremony in advance of her May 6 premiere.
