Oh god, why did you have to update so much? Oh boy.
Okay, let's see..."Quartz" is awesome, "Video Girl" is awesome, "Busy Earnin'" is awesome, "Are We Arc" is awesome, "Take Me To Church" is awesome (and hey, I've been taken to church again), "Capitol" is awesome, and this...

#oop i don't really know what to put here so i'll just fill it up with me rambling about nothing so it doesn't throw off my format. Let's hope it looks okay...

This is most definitely awesome. And hilarious.

"To see a Hip Hop/R&B song cross-over into Canadian Pop radio is a sight almost unheard of. Somehow, "Don't Tell 'Em" did it and I thoroughly enjoyed it much to my surprise."
gl00000bal I love it so so much, and he came out with some actual crazy experimental **** this year as well to compliment it, lol.
I thought Child's Play was a standout too from her record which was alright for me. Down on My Luck is amazing. The eaaaarly singles off Sucker weren't my favorites from the album but they're a lot of fun, I could never front. 0 to 100 came off at first like Drake on auto-pilot but I grew to like it a lot. Those Beck songs were all standouts to me. + All You Had to Do Was Stay hit me like a sledgehammer, who else but Queen Taylor

Love Queen, i. Stay was the most immediate song on 1989 for me, pop perfection.

Thanks again for comments! We're at the top 20 of songs and...
I've been going too fast.
I feel like its been to much at once so I'm going to slow it down and do like 5 songs per day until we reach the top. And then remember my decades list which I'm still so excited for!

I still need to listen to 1D album so I haven't heard Fireproof yet, but it sounds like I'll like it!

ILOVEMAKONNEN (feat. Drake) - "Tuesday"
What is this? I don't really even know. Its just such an addicting mixture of various styles. There's bits of electronic music, a definite R&B feel and it all works together to produce an undeniable jam. I came to here of this song pretty randomly while searching what Drake did this year and I was definitely not disappointed. The repetitive chorus is just everything and gets stuck in your head for the rest of the day/week. #19
Real Estate - "Past Lives"
Ugh the way these lyrics hit. Its so emotional and so relatable as they talk of returning to a 'past life'. The perfect mix of nostalgia and the wayward laid-back feel of the guitar lifts this to some dreamy quality that I feel like I can get lost in. #18
St. Vincent - "I Prefer Your Love"
While the rest of the album is quite hectic with tons of exciting elements going on, "I Prefer Your Love" is a rare moment of subtlety where things get into pop ballad form. The lyrics and delivery of those lyrics paired together is phenomenal. So deeply emotional yet it doesn't border into sappy territory. Ms. Clark is brilliant at putting together a song that can analyze deeper topics (she did so on Strange Mercy wonderfully) and the way she goes about doing it doesn't sacrifice what makes her style so significant. The way she sings "all the good in me is because of you"... my heart breaks. This is one of those songs that I say EVERYONE needs to listen to... #17
CHVRCHES - "Dead Air"
The Mockingjay soundtrack got me into CHVRCHES, something I didn't think could happen. This is just the perfect pop song. The chorus is so big, so perfect, and the little mix of '80s synth pop influence. You knew where I was going with this, I NEED Taylor on a song like this, but for the time being CHVRCHES did a wonderful job and this one is probably one of the most addicting songs of the year. #16
Shamir - "On The Regular"
I don't have much to say about this other than: listen to it, you will LOVE it.
