#44 AVRIL LAVIGNE
"THE BEST DAMN THING"
2008 was definitely not the best year for Avril. She picked the wrong single and released her worst video to date. But it's still cool.

#43 PORTISHEAD
"MACHINE GUN"
Great too: Silence, We Carry On
Third is easily one of the best albums of the year. "We Carry On" is perfection.

#42 JASON MRAZ
"MAKE IT MINE"
Great too: "Live High", "The Dynamo of Volition"
"I'm Yours" is great, but "Make It Mine" is better by far. Love its lyrics, and everytime I listen to it, it gives me chills.

#41 THE WOMBATS
"LET'S DANCE TO JOY DIVISION"
Great too: Backfire at the Disco, Kill the Director
"Let's dance to Joy Division and celebrate the irony. Everything is going wrong but we're so happy.". Love it.
