The video had controversy yes but the song was by far superior than WCS and I think people actually liked that song.

I think WB was destined to smash from the start. It had 2 days of sales during its release week and it did upwards of 90k

I agree, I don't think we can compare it to Slow Down because the music video leaked a couple of months before it was supposed to so it didn't help the song when it officially came out.
Unconditionally is just not the fun type of radio song people expect from Katy.
Hopefully since the Break Free video was filmed two weeks ago, they can have it ready for the release. It usually takes Ariana's team one month to finish videos. Best case scenario they drop it at the same time with the single (maybe on the MTV TRL special?). Worst case scenario they drop it at a really random stupid time.
