I guess since Ghost is still big they want to give Glow time to grow on people and do a big promotion campaign.
Is this going to affect the Australian release date too btw?
Meh, 20 days is nothing really when you say it like that.
The X Factor is going to be the best way to launch the album and single and give them the best chance.
It's just a shame they didn't leave Glow a bit longer in hindsight.
That's what I mean. What do they expect to accomplish with this delay? The album will have the same numbers no matter the date.
Glow hadn't taken off on radio the way I and probably they expected it, so this way it gives Ghost a few more weeks to die down and will give radio a chance to start spinning Glow more.
Plus she'll probably likely get a X Factor performance now.
Could also be, something really big is hitting us soon.

Just want to echo sentiments and say that this was a smart move. Ghost was still too big. Glow would've been overshadowed. It's now dropping so Glow can now start to build on radio.
Don't know much about competition but I doubt that the album ISN'T gonna go to #1 so I'm still happy. I've waited two years, I can wait a little longer for the album.
This is simply how the UK system works. The longer you leave it to release a song the better (unless of course it's an extremely long time). Glow has not had enough airplay yet to become a hit. Hopefully now that Ghost is dying a little, Radio 1 and Capital will start playing it.
Also if the single was pushed back, the album would definitely have to be too. Glow would not become a hit unless it was out before the album.
There is no way Jessie is getting that #1 album. It'll be Ella's
