I doubt people actually use/play those records since digital downloads and/or streams are much more accessible. I suppose it's more of a collector's item than anything.


Anyway, if Dark Horse has at least 5 million streams from the video, then I think she's got a bigger shot at #1 than Happy (although the latter is really closing that airplay gap, it's unbelievable. )

Yeah, I'm cautious about it to. I want it to be, but the momentum Happy has might be too strong. Plus after the video release most of the digital increases were in other countries, leading me to believe the views won't be US-dominated.

This is tricky. Most "global" artists who aren't big in the US are dying to break into this market while most US acts don't really care about going WW.
And since the US market is more crowded and tougher to break, I think most artists aspire to be bigger here. Plus many US acts are making more money than WW acts.
So I'm not really sure if we can say WW>US
