I think you mean split-personality? Bi-polar would mean he would have a lot of mood swings.
As for the actual conclusion, I sort of understand why he did what he did. I am not saying that is the right way to go, just that I sympathize. While there is a chance that there is something psychological, it most likely is not split-personality.
