It can go either way.
The GRAMMYs may feel obligated to giving him a good amout of wins, or they will be unphased by the commotion of his comeback.

"Single Ladies" wasn't even supposed to be submitted the first year. It was released on Oct. 8. "Single Ladies" and "Me Myself and I" (Live) were submitted to R&B Female, but "Me, Myself I" (Live) got the nominations (I still have those lists). "If I Were a Boy" and "At Last" were also submitted when they weren't supposed to and missed nominations that year, which makes me believe that the Academy snatched Mathew's wig off and said "No, you will not be getting considered for songs that weren't released during the eligibility period! Try again, next year!" Thank goodness for the screening process.

I really can't see Justin winning AOTY. Daft Punk is who I'm leaning towards right now for that category

Regardless of whether JT takes AOTY or not, I don't think he will sweep. He might win that and maybe one other award, but that's all I think he can do.

Based on my prediction, winners:
Album of the Year: "Random Access Memory" - Daft Punk
Record of the Year: "Mirrors" - Justin Timberlake
Song of the Year: "Mirrors" - Justin Timberlake
Best New Artist: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
Best Pop Solo Performance: "Locked Out of Heaven" - Bruno Mars

Her political strength in getting nominated for live versions of Me, Myself, and I, and Halo.

I know it's not exactly the same voting branch but my guess is, either he loses Album but takes the Pop categories (and Rap/Sung collab. maybe?), or loses those and takes either Album, Song or Record. I don't see him sweeping really, or pulling anything similar to a sweep. They're going to throw Bruno a bone somewhere. Last time he - Bruno - went home empty-handed was because Adele was undeniable in every category. Despite the success of The 20/20 Experience + the "comeback factor", I don't see Justin as a lock for a clean sweep ala Adele and since his last Grammy night there have been other Grammy darlings, Bruno among them.

Right now, Justin seems like the best bet for AOTY, though I do think there's a chance he could lose PVA to Bruno.

Idk. These types of acts don't seem phased by momentum. Just look at how Eminem lost to Arcade Fire. They ride off acclaim and industry respect more than anything. It's the more popular acts who need the steady momentum.

I don't care about the awards as much as I need Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Eminem, Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Beyonce, and Miley Cyrus to be announced performers
And if Adele came back with a new sinle i would die happy, and bow down to the slayage that would follow.

I love, love, LOVE Beyonce. But I was really dumbfounded by her submissions that year. Her label was so damn greedy for nominations. I remember the meltdowns on Goldderby. Everyone thought "Me, Myself and I" (DIL version) was submitted because the actual list didn't say "Me, Myself and I" (Live). The live wasn't included.

She'll be this year's A-Team or Holocene. She either gets nominated this year or she won't get any noms at all (until next year if she remains a "thing") is how I see it.

Can Bruno sustain enough momentum till Feb though, to secure a win in the main 3 categories.
You have to understand that the Doo Wops era had insane momentum- 9 Top 10 hits in a little over a year (ofc Adele cockblocked him everywhere but still).
Jukebox is very lowkey in comparison.
The JT hype machine is relentless and Daft Punk have the acclaim/peer respect on their side.

"Locked Out of Heaven" sounds very ROTY. Don't know if he could pull it off, though.

My favorites (to win) right now, based on my predictions, are Daft Punk for Song and Record, Justin for Album (with Daft Punk as a dark horse), and Macklemore for New Artist.
Daft Punk for ROTY and SOTY seems like a stretch, but they've got the acclaim for the album, they've got the fact that they had one of the biggest hits of the year, it's something of a throwback record, and it's the kind of classiness the NARAS tends to support. "Blurred Lines", "Thrift Shop", "Trouble", "Mirrors", and "Locked Out of Heaven" don't seem like Grammy records to me.
Daft Punk could realistically make a clean sweep of the general field, but I'll need to see how their momentum has held up towards the end of the year and into 2014 before I declare them a lock for anything, especially Album.
