Let's be honest, if she made a really realistic interpretation of the Bible story, wouldn't she get a lot of **** for being far too religious? Yes. So, I think she was going to get some kind of critique no matter what she chose to do. Just a cost one has to pay for being the top girl. (On a unrelated note, I love the papi break down in I'm into you's video).

That's my point, you don't have the right to critique her directing skills unless you took film-making courses or you've directed a video on your own.
I'm just saying, how could you critique other people's directing skills if you don't even know anything about it? If you could show me/us a professional video you directed on your own, I will shut up.

I thought it was okay but there is no way it's Bad Romance/Paparazzi quality...
Three main things:
1. I thought Gaga herself looked great! The outfits were so good until that one random thing at the end but ill let it slide...
2. The dancing was just too much... there was so much and most of it was pretty terrible choreography but well at least she tried
3. I'm really not here for breaks in the middle of the music. I know Gaga likes to make her videos some short film epic but essentially this is just a music video... I was talking about this the other day actually and it annoys a lot of people - most music channels just cut it out anyway so despite how artistic the water **** was, I don't approve.

 I watched it again..the video is okay now...but its certainly NOT TO DIE FOR!!!
there are more moments that doesnt just excite me though
best parts: DANCING, BAPTISM,
worst parts: UNNECESSARY SCENES...Lack of DIRECTION..

She's certainly not the only artist who has breaks in between the music. lol. J-Lo most recently, Britney before that.
(That doesn't make your point void. I'm just stating that it might annoy people but GaGa isn't the only person who does it. GaGa might be the one who is most well-known for it perhaps).

I just rewatched this and wow, it really is her best video yet. Absolutely stunning and I notice more details everytime (like the Electric Chapel). At first I thought the direction was too eratic but now that I've gotten used to it it's just fast paced, like any of her short edits.
