I don't really get offended, but it just bothers me that GaGa has to use controversy to make a point. I'm hardly religious, but it seems that sometimes she feels that it is a must to be controversial and it looks desperate. I don't think she needs all of that because she's talented enough to not stoop so low.
Also, I hate these stupid "if you don't like it, then 'log off'" comments or similar arguments. It's so redundant and so expected from a stan.

I mixed up your origional comment with someone else who said they were offended by the use of religion. MY mistake...

Those videos are her most shallow. It's funny how ATRL seems to like her when she sings about the typical ie: sex, partying, being rich, vanity. Seriously, there are other things.

I agree with this so much. It's basically what I said yesterday. She needs to grow up and get over her child-like hunger for attention. I realize she's in a business where your job is to find ways to make people pay attention to you, but she needs to take it down a notch. Or five.

Like what? For some of us who still haven't purchased her album(s), the only way to judge an artist is by her singles. And I think you pretty much summarized the lyrical content of all of her singles...as well as the lyrical content of 99% of all singles out these days

I love how you can criticize her sometimes. If the stans of some other artists would use this technique, we would witness very minimal amount of instances when they would get dragged.

I don't think Born this way was attention seeking at all. unlike Alejandro were everything didn't make sense and it was just a bunch of gimmicks. I'm sure judas won't be like that

I don't mean just the videos. Like, you now have the world's attention. You're pretty talented - shift the focus on that, and not on the egg.

She said all her life is a constant performance. I don't think she's stopping soon enough. All her appearances, interviews, performances, videos, red carpets have to be remembered for her.

I enjoy her child-like enthusiasm for attention and for getting people pissed off. As bizarre as it is, it's also really relatable - it taps into something we all want. But she's getting older and it's time to mature. Her 2010 VMA entrance was perfect - still kinda kooky and Gaga, but also sophisticated and smart. I wanted her to continue down that path.

i think that the part of lady gaga i love the most. I would careless about what people think or want her to do. When she performed at the grammy and focus on the singing and the dancing. Many says it's was boring now the same people complain again and say she try hard. Some people just will never be satisfy no matter what she does

Right, that's true too. She's basically the only popstar right now who can sing and dance, and when she does just that, people complain that her head didn't explode onstage. She probably knows this too, hence the gimmicks. People want a spectacle, even if they say they don't.

Paparazzi wasnt shallow. Yes it was about sex, vanity, being rich....yet it wasnt shallow.
When I think about it has something in common with Judas - both songs about obsessing over a lover

If she's going to continue making these long videos IMO she should do them the way she did Paparazzi--in the sense of a video that makes sense but still makes you question it a little. It should fill up the 7 mins (or however long) & not just be long for the sake of a long video (not like "Ale Alejandro" playing over & over for 3 mins). I think Paparazzi is her best long-form video, it's entertaining from start to finish, it tells the story of the song & it's a classic Gaga video.

Officially the newest, tiresome Gaga "drag" : I miss Fame-era Gaga.
Look people, you're not getting Fame-era Gaga again. The Fame era was, in itself, a piece of performance art; a caricature, if you will.
Some artists have what we call "artistic evolution." You're not going to get another "Just Dance"; you're not going to get another "Bad Romance." So stop expecting it or wishing for it. 90% of artists that have longevity evolve.
So seriously - create a thread lamenting over the loss of Fame-era Gaga, because I don't care to hear this ******** anymore.

That's nothing new. People have been bitching about missing "party Gaga" since Paparazzi/BR.
In many ways post-Fame Gaga is far more hilarious (yes, intentionally), but some only see pretention and self-seriousness.
