I thought Wow was gonna be, like, a promo single and the album was gonna SLAAAY but we haven't gotten it yet.

I think I liked Wild Nothing's album more than Daughter. DIIV's is debatable. I like Kristin but am not crazy over her. Wow was a single I think but I hate how the album got delayed.

I don't think Wow is experimental is particular, but it wouldn't be the first time where Beck has experimented if you know what I mean.

I'm not the best with commentary but I do try. Sometimes rather just say "look a good song, listen to it and agree" but...

Rock was nice this year. Better than a certain popular genre even.

90. Hannah Diamond - Fade Away

I'm not a fan of PC music but the instrumental is appealing and Hannah's vocal delivery along with it is pleasant. One of her best songs.

89. Lindstrom - Closing Shot

I mentioned this before but Closing Shots really has a Todd Terje touch to it. Nothing more than enjoyable electro-disco.

88. Kevin Morby - Dorothy

This would be one of my songs of choice If I was out on a road trip. Lyrically there's some humor there too. The piano sections are also a good touch.

87. PUP - DVP

A song with high energy and possibly relateable for those who likes to mingle with some drinks.

86. De La Soul ft Snoop Dogg - Pain

Although we had the pleasure of A Tribe Called Quest releasing this year after many long years, we've also had another staple old rap group, De La Soul release as well, but it seems they did not get as much buzz/talk. Anyway, Pain has been on rotation for a while as one of my summer joint songs. Snoop works his way as a worthy contributor. Their album is also on the laid back side.

85. Joey Purp ft Chance The Rapper - Girls @

Memorable and quoatable at the same time, Joey Purp is part of the newcomer crew that has some great joints from his iiiDrops mixtape. With the help of Chance as well. It's a playful song about girls.

84. Chairlift - Show U Off

The high notes here

Part of the production is serving oldschool Redman/Busta Rhymes tho. Not sure if i'm alone on that thinking.

83. Ariana Grande - Greedy

Some are team Into You, Dangerous Woman, Everyday, Touch it, etc. But i'm team Greedy all day everyday. It's catchy, funky & has a cohesive key change where it heats up. The amount of times she says greedy is a bit much but let it slide a bit.

Never ever was a surprise pop ear worm that seemed to came out of nowhere. Royksopp & Susanne both punched here.

The title/video fits the song, hehe. Quality Death Metal

78. The Black Queen - Secret Scream

As a fan of Nine Inch Nails & Depeche Mode, The Black Queen has touched my interest with their retro/industrial sound like material. If you're a fan of those kinds of group then check out Fever Daydream.

77. Jamila Woods - Blk Girl Soldier

Blk Girl Soldier touches on the still-current issues Black Women face in America. Missing cases, lack of recognition, exploitation, etc. It has a very positive message that highlights fighting for rights and equality, in which Jamila references many famous poc. Great track.

76. Anderson .Paak ft Rapsody - Without You

One of my malibu faves since day one. Rapsody was dope too. The Hiatus Kaiyote sample from their song Molasses seals the deal for me.
