45. Holding My Breath-Jon McLaughlin
Sept. 24, 2013
Holding My Breath is Jon McLaughlin's follow-up to Forever I Ever which was released back in 2011 with a re-release in 2012. I actually wasn't aware he was making new music last year until I saw the album thread saying it was already released so I had to check it out. I heard it's a pledge-funded album so that's really cool to have the support of the fans and it was worth it. The album is filled with songs that are strong in terms of lyrics and delivery. It could benefit from a bit more upbeat songs though.

5th studio album from this Canadian band. What I love about them is their ability to produce catchy and fun songs and this one certainly didn't disappoint although the lead single was quite different and took some time to grow on me.

I guess they're the type of pop rock band that everyone here would hate but I really enjoyed their songs on this latest album they released last year.
42. The Civil Wars-The Civil Wars

Another beautiful piece of work from this duo. It's so sad they went on hiatus but at least they got to release this album before doing so.
41. Damage-Jimmy Eat World
June 11, 2013
Jimmy Eat World is one of the bands I would listen to back then with my cousins and their songs are still amazing to listen to now. They just released their 8th studio album last year with an attempt to record an album filled with adult breakup songs and they did a good job without creating cheesy love songs.
