IT WAS AMAZING GUYS. they did change some things but i'm cool with it like some things that we find out in the second and third book were in this movie. that is the only thing that i kinda wish they waited for the appropriate movie but oh well overall it was great. also the greenhouse scene was a little bit cheesy when Heart by Heart came on singing about finding your soul, when it was just the first kiss lol and then the sprinklers came on i think they should have saved the song for like the third movie when jace and clary can finally be together. the actors were amazing and Jamie was good as jace also

And because Twilight left a stigma on the YA movie scene. Now every movie that's geared towards teens and has a supernatural element will be and has been compared to twilight.( BC, WB, COB) People going into review the movie are already thinking "ugh, not another wannabe twilight." And that bias they already have affects their reviews. That's my issue.

Not knocking Twilight, that's just how I see it.

And like someone said, getting compared to HP in any capacity is a compliment in my book.

The key word here is Romance: in Twilight, BC, WB, COB, the romance was a central part of the film, unlike HP

They're not really comparable imo. Yes, there's the romance, but it's an Urban fantasy.

It's not a fact of cultural impact, or grossing. If something gross more, it doesn't mean it's better!!! Maybe people see TMI above of Twilight, because they think that TMI it's the better book. It's not a question of sales, or cultural impact beetween teens, in that I think Twilight wins hands down.

I don't really see many 20+ interested in the film, I'd say it's aimed at the same audiences as Twilight TBH

guys go on Rotten Tomatoes and give the movie a 4/5 stars so the audience percentage can go up

I loved it. I was in a theater full of fans which made the experience even better. During the hotel fight we all started cheering and during the kiss scene we were clapping.

Now in terms of the movie, it's a 5/5 for me. They could have elaborated a bit more on the background of some of the characters for people who haven't read the book. And I liked the way the shocker a the end. Oh and the soundtrack was awesome. It fit perfectly with the movie. And ok I admit I was wrong Jamie was a great Jace. Anyway I recommend I if you were unsure seeing it.

I just came back from seeing this. I dunno how I felt about it. It started off pretty solid but the movie dragged as it went on. I'd see a sequel though!

The green house scene excited the whole theater. So I'm not surprised everyone liked it.

Definitely can't wait for City of Ashes.

Even watching the previews I could tell that this movie was going to be terrible... but my boyfriend wanted to see it so we did.

It's the corniest movie I have ever seen in my entire life. Almost like one of those parody movies.
