Check it out : Preview: Kelly Clarkson – What Doesn’t Kill You (Nicky Romero Remix) [Sony]
Amongst clubland’s most promising future stars to be, Nicky Romero has distinguished himself as the probably most promising of them all. With a number of collaborations alongside the likes of Avicii, David Guetta and Fedde Le Grand coming up and a year that has seen him ascend strongly, Romero does indeed have nothing but success written all over him. And from the listens of his now unveiled, first release of 2012, it’s safe to say next year might just be the year for this rising star from the Netherlands.
Alike his collaborative effort with Apster, titled Bootcamp, which saw its release via Wall Recordings earlier in 2011, Romero’s new, forthcoming remix for American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson is an excellent showcase for his dexterity as far as bass-filled acid drops go. And boasting his characteristic dynamics in terms of a soft interlude with a smooth piano and the astoundingly large voice of Clarkson to precede that thumping club drop, Romero’s contribution to the upcoming remix package of What Doesn’t Kill You is certain to star as its very headliner and further build on his already rising reputation amongst producers and House music heads across the globe.
The Nicky Romero remix of ‘What Doesn’t Kill You’ is released on January 9th via Sony Music.
