Sorry definitely deserves a week at #1 after how consistent it has been and how strong he has held up. And it's a very good pop song. Good for Adele though.

Sales could drop again as the week goes on. Sorry isn't gaining on Hello, despite the fact Love Yourself (at least for now) keeps pulling away from Hello and Sorry.

Streaming is light so far this week, but Bieber has a large ODS lead at least. Adele would have the longest #1 for a female since We Belong Together if she can hold on, and WBT has become a timeless classic (and Carey's signature song, not OSD).

If Love Yourself keeps pulling further ahead in sales, radio may begin dropping Sorry more quickly and accelerate LY's ascent at radio. LY is already about to pass Sorry at ODS. That's why I think LY, and not Sorry, will be the next #1. Sorry could in fact pull a TOL and wind up being the bigger of the two songs in the long run though. Also, I think WDYM will break the record for the most consecutive weeks in the Top Ten for a song debuting in the Top Ten. SIO is two weeks past that (23) for the most weeks ever in the Top Ten for a song debuting there, because it dropped to #11 one week in its first 24 on the Hot 100.

Vision Of Love was her first song. Hero was a sizeable hit, but not as big as We Belong Together. Christmas is only her signature song for the last six to nine weeks of every Calendar Year.

LY could wind up being the biggest hit from Purpose, but Sorry should still have a significant hang time. Sorry will probably still be in the Top Ten in early March. I think Sorry has peaked, but it will have a slow fall.
