Oh, and Russia gets props for a great opening ceremony. It was a little dull, but still very stunning.
(though Vancouver's was a little better
)

Ice dancing is the worst though. Virtue/Moir never win even when they are better than the Americans.

Actually Meryl/Charlie have been dominating the ice dance these last seasons so it's not a surprise.
Tessa also made a clear mistake on a twizzle during the SD.

I wasn't talking about this dance (I didn't watch), just the situation in general the past years.

Opening ceremony down 8% compared to Vancouver but up 26% compared to Torino (the last tape-delayed Winter Games Opening Ceremony).

Oh plz kworb
They have different styles, but on the technical side Davis/White are clearly the better skaters
V/M haven't changed or improved anything over the last four years. While D/W have advanced every season.

My commentators thought the Americans were the best followed by the Russians and then the Canadians (who made a mistake apparently).

There's a great article on the WSJ explaining why Norway slays the Winter Games :

That Russian girl was sensational. And only 15 years old. I'm impressed.

Anyone have a link to exactly where you find streams/past vids for events on CBC or BBC?

Girls like her aren't that rare.
They slay at 15, hit puberty, and are thrown in the trash by their federations.

Asada didn't deserve to be 2nd. Ashley Wagner's performance was slightly better (and she didn't fall).
