I wouldn't say she's a main popgirl yet, but I think she's certainly on her way to becoming one if she keeps doing what she's doing. She's certainly at the top of her list out of Demi, Selena and the likes by a big margin.

So Rihanna wasn't a main pop girl until Unapologetic because every album missed the top spot?

And she's literally only one single into the era and got a top ten hit. There are plenty of eras from pop girls without top tens (i.e. Britney's Britney era, which sold 4.4M albums through Nielsen Soundscan, 11M WW) that are more successful than ones with multi-week #1s
