How can people say Bey is not global when it looks like she might have the biggest selling female album in the UK after Adele 25? Artist is struggling to do 100k and she did it in 12 days. Certain fanbases should just keep their mouth shut.

UK is not the rest of the world tho. Being big in 2 countries is not being global.

What does THIS post have to do with the conversation at hand?
I don't think anyone is trying to downplay Drake. It's just that he had so much more going on in his favor only for him to sell 5k or so more than she did w/ way more days. He's not just some regular local rapper from the states. He's huge.
But also, does that 78k include streams or is that pure sales? bc if so, he did better.

You don't think any of those previous posts were attempts to downplay his success?

not just 2 countries...it went #1 in over 100 and also #1 & within the Top 10 in most of them on the official charts. both outselling & outpeaking other "global" stars in just 3.5 days.
Beyonce's Lemonade, which dips to No.2 on its first full week of availability, with 44,850 sales including 840 on CD, which reached retail at the very end of the week.
Bey sold 45k, 840 CDs.
Great numbers but I honestly expected more.

Nobody was talking about iTunes, but official charts. Especially nowadays iTunes means nothing.

It peaked at number one in nearly ten countries, including Sweden as of late, and within the top ten in dozens of others. It's really no one's fault if the U.S. and UK charts are the only ones you've paid attention to
Drake is a black Rapper who hadn't had major international success until recently. Beyonce is an international superstar who has been nonstop for nearly 20 years with a solidified fanbase WW

All this time ATRL has been telling me she's local.
