When Prince was on the Today Show, he told Matt Lauer, "Britney Spears is a great talent at what she does but she should work on how to keep it all in her without letting the soothing liquid trickle down her mouth." He went on to say, "I invited her out to my house for an offer to show her how its really done, but she never called me back. So there you have it for young talent out here in this generation, they aren't willing and open to try new vigourous things."
Well she just said it to him just to say something. It clearly wasn't true, and King Prince saw right through her. It's like when she use to say her main inspiration was Whitney when she isn't a vocalist.
She said Whitney was her favorite artist of all-time.

I understand what he means. It's like if an overweight person went up to a body builder and said they were their physical inspiration for their whole lives. She basically (and unintentionally) gave Prince a back-handed compliment.
