If they go in the direction of "indie" I think it'll be something like a ballad, maybe like "4 in the morning" or maybe a breakup anthem like "don't speak", "little miss obsessive" TOTALLY reminds me of "don't speak." If they go into the fun pop direcection, I hope It'll be like "outta my head" or maybe something reggae influenced! duca:

It's completely but maybe just because Gwen was one of the songwriters along with Ashlee lol look at this!. I know that Ashlee and her, have to be friends!

Ashlee Simpson has revealed that her new album has a "folky" sound.
The singer, who revealed that she was working on the follow-up to 2008's Bittersweet World last year, said that she is keen to make "kooky" music similar to her previous hits 'La La' and 'Outta My Head'.
Asked if she knows the direction of the album, she told Paper Mag: "I do, I do. I see the light. But I'm definitely not spilling the beans just yet. It's definitely a bit folky.
"It has that ['Pieces Of Me'] feel, but I'm really going for it this time! I'm always a kooky person, so you're not going to lose that. But for me, there's an era of music that I miss and I wanna make that kind of music. The songs that we need to hear."
Discussing her dream musical collaboration, she revealed: "I have to say Gwen Stefani is the new Blondie so I'd wanna do it with her.
"Or Karen O. I would die. Oh my God, if I got to meet Karen O I would die. Oh my God! I've grown up loving her. I'd paint my face like her. She's my all-time really."
Simpson's Bittersweet World reached number 57 on the UK album chart.

It's been a while since we've heard any music from Ashlee Simpson, and in a new interview with Paper mag, Jessica's little sis reveals that her next album will have a "folky" feel!
When asked about the CD, Ash wouldn't reveal too much, but she said, "It's definitely a bit folky ... I'm really going for it this time!" Ash added that she's got a bit of a thing for Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and regarding her dream musical collaboration, Ash tells the mag, "I have to say Gwen Stefani is the new Blondie so I'd wanna do it with her. Aww, no duet with hubby Pete Wentz in the near future? Oh well!
Sadly, Ashlee says she's not pursuing acting at the moment, but rather she's going to get her hands into the fashion biz! Ash says, "Right now, my best friend Lauren and I are going to work on a clothing line, too. Small, cool boutique-y stuff." Ash praises Jessica's collections, and her older sister will be happy to know that Ash is "always stealing the shoes." We would too -- Jess is pretty good at designing footwear!

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz preparing for fourth album after two-year break
Ashlee Simpson-Wentz said she is working on her fourth studio album -- after taking a two-year hiatus to get married, have a baby and star on Broadway, Hollywood Life reported Friday.
While in New York to support her sister Jessica at Fashion Week, Simpson-Wentz said she was excited about how the album is coming together.
“I’m writing it now,” said the 25-year-old singer and mother of 22-month-old son Bronx when asked about the project -- described as having a “folk-feel.”
Her last album, “BIttersweet World,” was released in April 2008, a month before she married Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz on May 17, 2008.

OK, so it sounds like Ashlee’s been busy with her OTHER side project, baby Bronx Mowgli, but she’s ready to get back in the game.
“I’m loving where my record is going,” she continued. “It’s not a super rush, but I do want to get it out for my fans.”
