I think it's OK to make new threads for big events like this anyway, even if the artist already has an overflow monthly thread. It can always be merged into the monthly thread after a few days (or replace the monthly thread). No big deal.

That would work... as long as it isn't annoying for the Adm/Mods to do that.

Tired of the multiple threads being made, then someone comes out nowhere because they noticed a new thread and ruins them, a stan war breaks lose and everything becomes a mess when the previous thread wasn't like that.

i mean this is true but I swear there has been like 3-4 threads about a rumored first single for Britney
and there were two threads in two different sections of her going to the recording studio
I mean new threads are fine for big news, but I don't think we should have a new thread for every new rumor we hear
