Pretty Girls is cute GDFR + Downtown are both nice and underrated.
The original Bad Blood is the weakest from 1989 but the remix is an improvement.

Sparks, Love Myself and Hold My Hand are all among the best of the year

I’ve missed three seasons so mega-update!

Ella Eyre has a cool look, so I need to check that out. Diet Cig, like any description that says “rowdy and raw” so that sounds intriguing. Bad Blood, Haven’t Heard It! Not really, I bet even hermits in the mountains have heard it haha. Hilary Duff’s new look is cool Everytime I see Flo Rida I think of Peter Gregory on Silicon Valley who said deadpan “Thank you Florida” hahahahah. Meg Myers and Best Coast are Best! You seeing Britney in Vegas is still one of the coolest things ever. Lady Lamb sounds like she’s in my wheelhouse. #FreeKesha indeed. Kathryn Calder is the greatest!!! And I love Dawes, though I do get the depressed feeling haha. Betty Who and Bean being back-to-back is fun, they should share a marquee together one day. I don’t know what my point there is, they just look like funny names joined together. Realize i’m going long and i;m only on one season! I loved Freedom and will think Pharrell is eternally cool just for his Neptunes productions alone. Big props on the “more like” joke. Laughed out loud. Lauryn doing Nina Simone, perfect. Beck will always be great.

Onto summer! I thought of the Kiesza song when I saw that title! I like the look of that Phoebe Ryan, green hair rules. “Smoke Break” A++++. The song that turned me into an actual fan of Carrie’s. Girl Crush!! I had that listed last year, which I realize wasn’t when it was officially relased as a single lmao. Good Job Jumping the Gun, Ben. Still, couldn’t have been happier about the song and LBT’s success this year. “Bitch Better Have My Money,” undeniable! I like “S.O.B.”, great performance on Fallon. I heard Bring Me the Horizon on NXT, and I liked what I heard. Wait, whattttt? Veruca Salt are back? Where the **** was I? That rules! I said that Ashley Monroe would probably be my favourite song you charted, but i was wrong! “Heart Attack Love”!! A song that was made for your seasonal lists! I saw Shakey Graves on Austin City Limits last week and enjoyed their performance a lot, need to listen to more. “MY CORNELL” HIMSELF! I want to see those fists in the air, front to back!! Great return-to-form for the Cornell-Man. Belle and Sebastian! I missed out on their new music this year, for shame me! When I saw True Grit, I instantly thought this little girl one day will sing a :-o song one day. Clear career path for her. Great choice on the Corden pic for the Rocky & Rod song! I remember reading the “Downtown” video was filmed entirely in Spokane, and then I saw it and recognized a lot of the “downtown” (sorry) shots, really cool!

Big Grams??? Again, where the eff was I? That sounds tremendous! The host of Benjammin’ is Benslackin’.... Ooof. Funny you put Sia’s Alive and Selena Gomez’s Same Old Love back to back, as my first thoughts seeing both of them were their SNL performances (Sia’s during the He Who Shall Not Be Named show), great performances for great songs. Love how Ryan Adams broke out this year, and all it took was doing Taylor Swift songs. Whodathunk it? This is Howie Do It. Love Deerhunter and love the “jangly rock” description, love that kind of music! Lady Antebellum were on an EDM song??? What?? I like the sound of that Billie Marten. Speaking of SNL, The 1975 are next up. I bet LD is a big fan. Nice INXS reference. You’re not kidding with the Gwen thing! Still can’t get over every part of that. Cool seeing Steven’s girl Sara Bareilles on here! Yahoo. Foos! Loved that EP! Love Run the Jewels!! The rest I haven’t heard, but the Chairlift song in particular sounds interesting!

Wow that was long! Made up for lost time! Coming from the other guy who does the Top 40 Albums list, I always look forward to yours and can’t wait to see what you have on the list this year!

Same Old Love Wasn't a big fan at the first listen, but it grew on me pretty quickly (around the time Revival dropped, I believe.)
Cake By the Ocean Huge huge huge bop, I didn't know Joe (and the others) could slay me so much.
Tear In My Heart My favorite song from top thus far, a true jam.
Magnets Definitely agree that a new Lorde release is a must at this point. Will be really disappointed if nothing comes out this year after quite a wait.
