I liked Freak Show. When I marathoned AHS this summer it was the easiest to get through, without filler or pointless deviations like the other seasons. Maybe it just wasn't a good week to week experience, because idg the criticism.
Hotel was absolutely pointless and terrible, no substance, no likable characters and had the weakest actors getting the bulk of the screentime. I haven't watched the finale but I'm assuming it was disappointing
Hotel worst. I say this but I never finished it. I never finished Freakshow either but I got much further.
Also Freakshow never had an actress as bad as lady gaga and it had Jessica Lange as a reason to endure it.
Freakshow is undoubtedly the worst season. I liked absolutely nothing about it. It was so boring and worthless.
Hotel is somewhat confusing at times, off-settling and isn't as good as the first three seasons.
But if I was forced to re-watch either one of the seasons, I would gladly choose Hotel. At least Hotel has charisma and less things being "cringe-worthy", tbh. Freakshow was just flat out terrible. What a huge let down.
Freak Show hosted a more talented cast, though Jessica Lange was unbearable (not in a good way) in that season.
Hotel is boring, predictable, try-hard, and the cast is not very convincing.
