You can get the intake from ANY type of food in any quantity but if you aren't burning it off you can become obese. So it's not eating high amounts of food at all, it's whether or not you are burning that food off

Just being alive burns off a certain amount. And "high" is relative, so in order to become obese you NEED to be eating a high amount of food without burning it off, which means that you WILL be eating a high amount of food, whatever high is depending on your age, height and weight. Anyone can lose weight by simply eating less than what they use. Calories In, Calories Out.
