as much as i hate trump i don't think it's really a surprise that a person who was protesting was taken out. i don't think there are many private events where that /doesn't/ happen to protesters, muslim or not. now what was really not ok were some of the things his supporters said to her.

I don't disagree that it's surprising or even that bad that a protester was escorted out of the venue - though I'm not sure I agree at all that anyone sent her. You can protest out of free will.

What's surprising is that there are people with both the nerve and the lack of brain cells to yell "you have a bomb!" at her.

I can't watch right now, so I could be 100% wrong, but considering they LET HER IN (I doubt she suddenly put the Hijab on when there if she's actually Muslim with it off before), it's pretty obvious they had her leave because of the silent protesting and not because she was Muslim

I also have no doubts some of the people there were way out of line or are doing the most (I HIGHLY doubt she was sent there specially). That is definitely out of line.

That said, I do think this is the exact reaction that she was looking for (which is basically a compliment to her intelligence, not a judgment. I get why she did what she did and she's not wrong or horrible for it, but this was pre-planned by her to some extent) I don't think she's part of some big liberal agenda/scheme/undercover plot, but she definitely knew what she was doing IMO. Though as said, that's within her legal rights 100% and she did nothing actually wrong (likewise, in theory, it's not wrong to ask a protester to leave your rally. Don't know how it was actually done in practice here tho)

I'm sure she did intend to attract attention, but that's kind of important. People should know what kind of "voters" Trump is attracting and should know what kind of views he inspires and feeds into.

It's really not even about him as a candidate - his supporters are the problem, and they're like rabid animals. I don't think there's an issue with her intentionally drawing attention to that, if she did.

I can cosign this. I can verify not all Trump supporters are like this (based on some I've run into, who take a lot of issues with stuff he says but like other aspects about him), but a large part are racist/prejudiced/Islamophobic/etc. and there's nothing wrong with her trying to point that out.

And I wouldn't say you were. All candidates have bonkers supporters (and some sane ones). It's just common sense
