All I Want For Christmas Is You - Mariah Carey
Who knew that this 1994 Christmas song would turn out to be one of the biggest singles worldwide and arguably the biggest Christmas classic of all time? Certainly not Miss Mariah Carey who was just 24 years old at the time, would think that this career endeavor would yield her over 50M$ in royalties. The bling and the music.
A definite masterpiece from Rihanna's fourth studio effort, "Rated R", "Russian Roulette" is arguably her best ballad to date. Topped with haunting vocals and a hurting, pleading voice, this song will get you so emotional. After the infamous Chris Brown vs Rihanna fight, the whole Rated R era has been completely personal and is Rihanna's best. I say this from a perspective of a Rihanna hater.
Honestly, if it weren't for "Clarity", I would've never discovered Foxes, also known as Louisa Rose Allen. Body Talk is a feel good 80s jam that you can let your "body talk" to. Such a pop gem.
Adele coming to slay out of nowhere was expected from ATRL, but let me just say that "Hello" is arguably in the top 5 of her best singles. The personal level between daughter and father connects with a lot of people, which is probably the reason why it smashed(and Adele's "21" of course). Overall, a nice song to listen to.
Wait Hello is about a father/daughter relationship? I thought it was about an ex (well I kinda just assumed cuz it's Adele).
I heard from an Adele Stan(forgot which one which is funny because there is only like 5-6 of them ) that it was about Adele and how she didn't have a father for her there and she confronts him via phone or something
The comeback single that would've been . I never checked for Avril after I got tired of her with "Girlfriend", but with "Goodbye Lullaby" and "Wish You Were Here", Avril Lavigne suprised me and fans alike. It's ashame that this song didn't become a huge hit as intended, but hey the music not the bling.
One of my all time favorite Beyonce ballads, this deserved a spot in my recurrent chart just because I overplayed this to the heavens from January until August 2015.
