He's a lot more authentic than she is and I think people have noticed that. And he's an actual artist. His bodies of work are just that. Bodies of work. Nicki has potential to make bodies of work, but devalues her music with cheap features and songs like The Night Is Still Young. Her music is also a little more... I don't wanna say cheap, but... cheap? And juvenile. Like Drake would never make a song like The Night Is Still Young. That's not the type of music people take seriously. It's limited her, which is why Drake can play an audience like Coachella and Nicki can only do those radio concerts.
So, the Barbz claim that Iggy Azalea was more successful than Nicki Minaj "because she was white."
And now they claim that Drake is more successful than Nicki Minaj "because he's a man."

There's always an excuse, isn't there?

I wonder why they're using "she's a female in a genre dominated by Men" excuse when she receives more Pop airplay, Pop promotion, and has a bigger Pop fanbase than all those men. Isn't the Pop demographic much bigger and much likely to buy music?
Why have Kendrick passed her? Why have J.Cole passed her?
Because they are men.
Nicki is in a male dominated genre and still does well for herself. Stop trying to downplay her all the time.
I'm not buying this. Again, they have never made music like "The Night Is Still Young". That's why they are taken more seriously, musically. And image and brand wise, they don't have things like K-Mart "couture" lines
She does things to devalue herself. It's not just about them being male.

!!!
I mean Iggy has a #1 hit and Drake doesn't.
"Male dominated industry!!!!!!!"

I hope Nicki gets it together.
Oh
Let's not forget the whole tough act he puts on as if any of it is true

Right? I thought she beyond female rap? That she was JUST a rapper. What happened? Why the excuses? Being a woman isn't an excuse.
Quote:
“Absolutely, I do not see myself as a female rapper anymore. I’m sorry, I see myself as a rapper. Like you said, I’ve worked with the greats and I’ve held my own with the greats. They respect me so I should respect myself enough to see myself the same way they see themselves.”
