I've never really been able to get into Coldplay so when I saw they had new music coming out I was just like w/e ok. BUT then one day at work I heard this magnificent electric guitar business going on and then I heard the singer so I knew what was up. So yea the guitar makes this song a bop, gotta real euphoric thing going on and I'm intew it. I don't even want to know what kind of mess is going on in that video tho, just looking at the thumbnail.
I don't watch whatever talent show she was on but somehow I heard of this song and I was immediately interested in this gerl and her whole persona. This song is just cool man. Usually I'd find her "thing" corny as hell (telling her mom that dad is with a **** and her bro is smoking weed) but for some reason she pulls it off and it's convincing. The production is great as well, got an eerie vibe (found in most of her music) and the detailing is so interesting, sounds like a dead machine coming back to life or something. Slay mama
This song definitely bites from "Cheerleader" a bit but I guess it has enough of it's own flare to pass. It's a cute liddo song but pretty unremarkable imo, and I'm surprised it was as big as it was. Reminds me of Lion King. idk Good thing "Sorry" scalps this
What kind of top of the year knock?? And stripper anthem without a trap beat yassssss This song goes off and is impossible to not sing along to. Jessie J verse even punches a bit, who would've thot. But lol what happened to sister's album? This was a hit, right? Usher definitely faded into oblivion after this kicked the lessors around a bit, its weird, good thing I don't really care about him
Something is just a BIT off with this song, like the girl's voice is a little too grating at points, ok almost the whole song, and the pre-chorus is a lil frightening but everything is fine when the "yooouuuuooooouuuuuuu"s come in with that flawless ukulele or whatever in the background, gotdamn. Honestly one of my favorite bits of music this year, its so good. The rest is borderline garbage tho
Santigold is just so special as an artist and I absolutely love this song. What kind of cool production and inadvertent catchiness. During the chorus everything really just comes together and it hits so hard. Slay Santi can't wait for 99c.
While not one of my favorite songs of the year, this is definitely the jam. It's pretty overrated but there is no denying its an expertly produced pop song. I don't know or care what the lyrics are about, apparently its cocaina, lol slay a bit i guess abel. Honestly this song is pretty boring to me but its the absolute KNOCK at parties, or was in its prime anyway. Those nights are my best memories of this song, and they are FOND!
